SSD84 – Blog Hop -Happy Birthday 21st

Welcome to Sketch Challenge 84 and the release of Victorian Summer! If you just came from Brenda’s blog, you are in the right place.  If you just happened along my blog today, you can start at the beginning of the hop at Skipping Stones Design.  The entire hop order is there and you can hop from blog to blog with ease.

Here is my card ” 21st Happy birthday”, I have die cut  the number 21 from pti 2008 Bitty Dot Basic pattern paper and spellbinder lacey circle die from october afternoon and cut the circle in the middle to create the focal image. I have used sweet blush cardstock and stamp the rose swirl randomly with versamagic pixie dust. Love this ink. And impressed cardstock with pti linen impression plate. Next stamped the ‘Happo y birthday’ sentiment at both side of the circle die cut. Then used red thread floss to tie around the circle as shown in the sketch.

The card is based on the CR84FN33 here. Love the color combo! Sweet!

Be sure to hop along and leave comments on all the fabulous designers blogs.  This month we are welcoming Kim Kesti, Karen Baker and Karen Christensen to our team as Guest Designers! Kim will be providing all the fabulous sketch inspiration this month including the fantastic sketch we’re using in today’s hop! Here is the sketch #84:

  1. This card is absolutely gorgeous! I love the pink & red combination! The red 21 pops so dramatically against that super adorable white scalloped circle. Love, love, LOVE! 🙂

  2. Gladys….you always amaze me with your creative takes on the sketches! This card is exceptional! I really loved the very subtle background panel with the roses and linen look!
