I Want to Ride My Bicycle Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

I have decided to enter this card for Moxie Fab World Challenge, the back ground is a mistake…. I have actually wanted to use the cloud background stamp from Hero Arts for the sky blue. But I took a dark purple instead. To cover up the error, I decided to use my enchanted evening ink cube from papertrey ink to dab onto the white cardstock. It appeared to be a different textured background!!! What do you think?

I stamped on my bicycle image with versamark and heat embossed with black embossing powder. Before I add-on the tyre as button. I decided to use white floss to create the line for the tyres and glue dot them onto the card. And I stamp on the flower at the front of the bicycle. Afterwhich I decided to stamp a kite behind the bicycle using paper piecing technique and twine tied to the bicycle.  I die cut both clouds from papertreyink from white felts. And add-on the sentiments ” Thanks for the lift”. Thats for my first card.  I also have another card which I have create some times ago here:

Have a good day ahead.

Sketch #50!!!

Hello everyone… Its Monday and weekend is over! Its time again for Inspired Blueprint Sketch #50 for card and Layout!!! Come play with us … I am loving this sketch as follow:

Here is my card #1 card: BIG 24!!!

This card is made for my little sis. She is turning 24 this year in Jul. How time flies. She is a little baby gal when I turned 7.  I seen her grown up to become a pretty young lady. How big she has grown! Love this little gal *Hugs* . For this card, I made a base cardstock of brown then cut a Raspberry Fizz cardstock. I stamped Dot Spot onto versamark randomly onto Raspberry Fizz to create the background . Next I took Hawaiian Shore and punch with Scallop at the side. Then I took a Lemon Tart cardstock cut to size. Afterwhich took a Rustic Cream cardstock stamp the BIG 24 and use stickles to have the bling effect. Lastly I took some pearl string to create the border and ribbon below. Hope she like this card!

Next card, Smile card…

Onto a next card using the same sketch. I created a bold and cheerful card for my little brother who has gone into National Service! He is two years younger than my little sis. He is in camp training . I have sent this card to him hoping to cheer him up!! This card inspiration is to build my own background. I stamp background with Houndstooth from Hero Art. I am loving this stamp!! It’s so versatile that you can create different color background using different cardstock. And even punch out a butterfly out after stamping..  And I have also used different background stamp to create this card. Lastly tied a ribbon to it.

Thanks for looking.

Hope you like the cards! Thank you all for your lovely comments on my cards. I appreciate it and I am happy to be able to make some friends in this blogging world . It’s truely an amazing journey for me to be able to share my work to so many people. Thank you!

Hope everyone have a good week and Happy Monday!!!

Love,

Gladys

With Sympathy

Happy Friday!!! I love Friday. I think everyone do too…because it going to be WEEKEND again!!! How time files… Yesterday I am urged to join the challenge for the following :

I love the colour using brown, green, blue and orange to create this card of mine. Love the vintage look of the card -the brown flower stamp image is the focal point of my card. I am loving color box chalk ink – they create very good stamped images- especially the chestnut roan chalk ink from color box. I am still finding a good ink to use for stamp images.  Do you have any to recommend?

Stamp background is what I am currently into right now. I am loving the stamp images.  Afterwhich I die cut the spring moss cardstock with eyelet lace border. Stamp Polka Basic 2 background stamp onto vintage cardstock and adhere the two strip of eyelet lace. For the sentiments, I used a spring moss cardstock and stamp on the same background polka dot, hand cut one eyelet lace into half to adhere the end of my sentiments.

Thats all I have for you today. Hope you like this card!!!

Have a wonderful Friday and enjoy the coming weekend 🙂

Love,

Gladys

Hello… How have everybody been? I am excited to share a good news 🙂 But I am not going to tell you when time is up! I am really really happy about it. Today I have a card for you to be entered for The Shabby Tea Room Designer Call, those who are interested can enter for them. I am loving their shabby design but my style is not. And they welcome all design :). I have been following them since they have launched in Feb 2010, it’s a very good inspirational and challenge website to go to and prizes tobe won if you are picked!

For the DT Call, you will have to be based on this picture to create a card, project to enter :

Here is my card:

I have used the Spot Dot as my background pattern. I am not sure nowadays I am really into stamping my own background. I find that this way I can used whatever colour I like to suit to my cardstock. I do not need to search for a suitable pattern paper to match with it. What do you think?

It’s a very simple card. After stamping the background with pure poppy ink, I add my sentiments in the middle. I have die cut the butterfly from felt and adhere a small rose, tied the twine to show its front.

I really like how it turn out. Hope you like today’s card!!!

Leave me a comment to tell me what you think? I love all comments!!!

Thank you.

Have a great day ahead!

Gladys

Inspired Blueprint Card Sketch #49

Hello Everyone, it’s here again for card sketch from inspired blueprint. I am loving their sketches, come on play with us with this sketch #49 for the month of June.

This month theme I have is to create my own embellishment and incorporate into my cards 🙂 I love making my own embellishments, it’s very easy to use up your scraps and its way too adorable and unique of your own to use in whatever color, design, words to suit to any layout or cards.

Here is mine: The first card: Birthday card.  This card of mine  –  I have flip the sketch and using the scallop border die to cut. And also die cut frame and stamp on Sweet blush, Hawaiian Shore and Hibiscus Burst ink to create the 3 frame. I am loving the butterfly punch from EK Success which is the first punch I had purchase. After I have punch my butterflies of different color to match my frame. I have decided to beautify the butterflies by using pattern paper from doddlebugs velvet, stamping polka dot basic II and lastly going thru it using my big shot with swiss dot embossing folder. I am loving the effect on each of the butterflies :). What about you? On each butterfly, I hand stitched the buttons onto it as the body of the butterflies. To finished off the cards, I decided to add twine as the butterflies swirls that they are flying together.

Moving on to my next card: Thank you Card. Using spellbinders Flower Bouquet Miniabilities which I have bought long long ago and never open up to use it! Do you share the same experience as me which you buy and never used it? This year resolution is to use all my supplies that I have purchase at least once 🙂 Ok Back to this card – Surprise that I did not use any stamp set . I embossed my card front with polka dot basic II impression plate. Afterwhich, I die cut 8 different Flower Bouquet Miniabilities . Having its die cut shape on the paper, you can dabbed sponge into the inkpad of the color of your choice and decorated it with e.line Pear Crystal Prima Marketing. I am loving the pearls and the blings! The small spiral flower is left over which I have created from my mother day card.

Thank you for looking.

Love,

Gladys

Dearest Dad…

Time Flies…. And now its June already! Father Day is coming soon. I have already make a card for my dad. I am dedicating this post to my dad of 30 years… He is a person whom I seldom talk to. In a Asian country, older generation especially father will be seen as stern so I am not very close to him. He is always out working. But I admired his strength and effort to support this family. I am proud to have him as my father. He is the sole bread-winner of the whole family of 7. He always did whatever he can to make sure that everyone is safe and sound. And the most important is that we do not have to worry about financial. And he has supported me through out my life in my studies till University which I can get a job and support myself. So for this Father’s Day, I wish to tell my father I love him! I wish him health, wealth and happy always 🙂

Here is my dad when I was small, see how young he is and I am already a third child in the family. I have four other siblings. 🙂

**(Edited: To be included to participate The Shabby Room Week #13 – ‘Just for Dad’)

Here is my card :). I have used one whole sheet of 8.5 X11 enchanted evening cardstock and fold it into a shirt which you can open up and write your sentiments inside.  I have just received my order from papertrey ink – I am IN LOVE with this stamp set – A Little Argyle which  you can stamp in different colours and pattern!

Here is the photo where you can open up the shirt and write your sentiments:

Let me know what you think of this card? What will you be doing this coming Father Day? I am having alot of fun making this. Its simple and easy to do this card. Here is the tutorial step by step to follow if you are interested to make!

Happy Father Day to all Dads!!!

Gladys
